The facade of the building stands out with its vertical wooden cladding, which, in combination with wide balconies oriented more towards the terrace, offers a breathtaking panoramic view. Vertical, louvered modular support elements along a sliding curve give the structure a certain lightness, alleviating its heaviness.
The design of the facades was inspired by the observation of a wooden model of a historic vehicle, a Ford GPW from 1944, in the hotel. The owners’ passion for vintage cars was integrated into the architecture and design without using extravagant elements. The theme of the design is playful and emotional, with great respect for the surrounding landscape and environment.
The renovation of the main house and the adaptation of the existing volumes and mass distribution aim to create a harmonious ensemble. Particular attention is paid to the proportions of the gable roofs to each other and to the proportions of the surrounding buildings.
